This app is instant fun, easy to work. Load your own or use their library. Audioshare, Audiobus, IAA,AUM... Import/Export...excellent

But where is the bluetooth audio support? A pitch slider on each slices sections will be awesome! Keep up the great work!

Why can t we manage sounds with file sharing ?

Its a great idea for an app. Downside: just a few packs included, so you have to pay for just a few more options. And the biggest problem is the noise and glitches when you change notes, making it impossible to use it. Waiting for updates.

No MIDI Sync with Launchpad

The current version has a tendency to freeze whenever you create a new project. Importing/ exporting with Dropbox not supported. App does not openly communicate with Launchpad App. Anticipated higher degree of editing separate channels, such as Doppler/Pitch shift. Does not live up to Novation quality products.

I was hoping to use this to craft some new ideas for my sound design at Rocky Mountain Sound Design. Needs some more features like fx. Interface is decent and seems to be open for future feature additions.

Spend lots of money for an unfinished app. Recordings sound hollow and unpleasant, yuk!

Update 1 I gave it another try and really there isnt much to do with this app. Still bad... If thats a cue for what is coming with their launchpad app where we could manipulate each sample in the clips as easily as in this app with fast time stretch and tonality (each clip its own tonality), then I am very exited for what is to come with launchpad but in the mean time this is still: Incomplete Boring Sounds not impressive Thank for taking the time to read. I dont get it... It looks like a prototype but at 7$, I hate to be a paying tester. So basically, you play samples that you cannot modify except for start/end positions. It will play over and over unless you mute. No other control over your "tracks". Its a shame to call it tracks really... No way to record performance. No effects Tonality control is a joke. If this is meant to only be played live, then it needs a much better workflow. These are only a few of the complaints I have but I have wasted enough time with this app already. Will come back to it if they release major update. Too bad. I bought this because I love the Launchpad app from the same company. I tough I would have a sampling app that work in team with Launchpad. Not giving 1 star because the product, at least, is not defective. I dont usually review apps badly but since there are no reviews yet, this is my contribution to help ppl make a more enlightened choice. AVOID THIS ONE! At least until they add features to it. If I got this app wrong and just didnt use it properly,, Ill be happy to change my review... And start using the app again.

I have to admit. I love this update. This is starting to be a sweet app. At first I felt just like the others it was just an app to play and buy their loops. But since this last update. Wow I am impressed! I really hope that all those people who wrote negative reviews give this app the updated ones due to the huge improvements from this developer. Its one of the most fun apps ( I have the, all ) and simple interfaces I have used when it comes to chopping up samples. I havent stopped using it for days. I even bought some of the in app purchases ( which I rarely do) Great sounds love the flexibility to make them my own. A couple of things I would like to see in the near future is the option to copy and paste one of the four bars to another. Also maybe ADSR so you have more flexibility when playing the keyboard. The quantized tin works pretty great. And stays on point. Also I would like to have the option to reverse slices and have the option to one shot and or choke certain slices. Another improvement I would like to see is when you change the scale it doesnt slow down the loops so dramatically. So better conversion. Also if you guys could get your software to read or best guess the key that my imported lOops are that would be great! Speaking of imported loops why cant I import my on through iTunes and make my own folder ? That is something that needs to be added. Saying that this is a huge update improvement and a lot of fun. I am glad I bought this app and look forward to future updates. ( MIDI SUPPORT)?.. Thanks from a happy customer.

Its like having a candy store of sounds. Infinite mix of flavors. Very very intuitive. If you want to get deep into music production, go elsewhere. If you want to enjoy beat layering and texture exploration, welcome to Blocs wave.

Novation keeps adding and improving. It was OK when it came out but not great. It looks like it will settle in at very good and very good is well above my cutoff line for worth buying. So to clarify a weird review, I will say that blocs wave is a pretty good app and many of you will love it. There are other similar apps out there, so its a matter of personal taste. I will keep using it every so often until the development settles so I can make a final decision. In my feeble opinion, It is definitely a 5 star app at this point. Try it and make your own judgement. I cant imagine a disappointment. It is just too far above the very good app level. Its hard to rate apps or more accurately, its hard to access the reviews. Some of us do not care about the cost and other actually call a 4.99 app,à total Rip off. It amazes me that someone who can afford an ipad cares about that amount if money. I am sure most of them spend that every day in a rip off coffee shop for a small coffee and a dont or muffin. They often go ballistic and write crazy emails to get their money back. What a strange society?

Its a lot of fun to mess around with, and it seems to be mostly be a performance tool right now. It would be cool if it had some effects or some waveform options like reverse or gain. The layout feels a bit cluttered on my iPhone.

The last couple updates have brought this app to a completely different level. Im hooked.

This app is so much fun. I have spent way too many evenings slicing up loops and making crazy sounds.

Slip + flatten + randomize + record is amazing for workflow. I cant wait to see what else you come up with!

Super creative and efficient loop maker. Tons of export options, plays amazing well with others. I also love starting tracks in Blocs! The flow is quick and you can really cover a lot of ground fast, without breaking the creative flow. Initially I thought Blocs was all about short loops but you can record as long as you like. Fantastic for recording AUM/AB, others apps etc. Even though I have a great PC daw I still love recording hardware synths into Blocs. For syncing hardware I use the app Link to Midi which works perfectly with it. The dev has been great with feature updates, more to come too!

dont work store, download and purchase!!!!

Was just released with skram, bought both, blocs is a terrible app. Dull sounds, bad synching. Might be interesting with full recording automation, but then for the same complexity, there is so much better. Dont bother. Get launchpad or skram, or gadget or reasons figure.
